Does anyone know of any reliable (and commonly sold) vegetarian wines (red or white) sold in Australia?
Sorry to everyone who doesn’t understand my question- some wines while obviously don’t contain meat, still contain animals products such as egg, fish, etc. yes it might sound odd to some people but I think it has something to do with the processing part of the wine but I don’t know much about it. So yes, that is why I am asking if anyone knows of any vegetarian wines. (Wines that don’t contain or didn’t use animal products in any of the production). Thanks
Wine is usually NOT vegan, since gelatin is very commonly used in the clearing process. It’s easy to clear wine with other methods (i.e. using bentonite, a form of clay) if you make it yourself, but the industry often chooses to use gelatin because it is faster and/or cheeper than other methods..
