help me plan 6 small meals a day (to loose weight). I read a lot about how healthy and helpful it is but ….?
I am 5.4 and 233 pounds !! i am on a good exercise plan and would like to incorporate the “6 small meals a day” into my weight loss plan. I am a vegetarian (no fish or eggs either). what is a good plan menu for me ? also how does one break the 6 meals (time wise) ? how close to bed time is the last meal ? Please can someone suggest a lot of food ideas (store bought or self made). Any tips or warnings about this eating style. Thanks
Well you dont eat meat so eat things like beans and nuts for protein…
Try to have fun and mix it up everyday.
The morning you could eat a yogurt parfeit with juice:
Layer one: light yogurt
Layer two: whole grain cereal like Grape Nuts or Honey Nut Oats..something like that
Layer three: your favorite fruit like strawberries or peaches
*Repeat the layers
Snack 1:
A piece of fruit… or veggies dipped in light ranch dressing…make it simple and light
Lunch:
A colorful salad with a light dressing and water…decorate it with green, red, yellow peppers. cucumbers, carrots, sunflower seeds etc. (you know the rest..be creative)
Snack 2:
About a half cup of lightly salted mixed nuts (cashews are the most unhealthy so put less of those in with the others)
Dinner: Pasta such as spaghetti with tomato sauce and grated cheese with toast and milk or water
Dessert: Banana dipped in chocolate sauce or a fruit salad
Remember to not eat THIS or the same thing everyday…your body wants variety and if you cook yourself, you’ll probably enjoy your food 10 times more. This is just a one day guide. Always drink plenty of water and do not drink soda.
