Are there any vegetarian casings edible?
Boca Tortuga Island, LightLife, Yves, El Burrito and others all make great vegetarian sausage and dogs hot. Most of these seem to be packed with something and are eatable. I've done countless internet searches and have only come to this: edible cellulose casings, starch guts, and a coating alginous, vegicase wing. But what I can not find is where I can get some of the guts? I make vegetarian sausage at home and use of plastic sheeting. You can not eat these, and certainly can not grill them.
