What is a good vegetarian recipes, including pasta and vegetables?
My friend and I have been given the task of making dinner in a couple of nights, and she is vegetarian. We perfer something easy as noodles and vegetables. Most of the recipes we've found are from Asia-based, and not as a meal of Asia. Any suggestions would be great!
I'm sure your friend will like my salad recipe crispy tofu – 90 calories. This is what you need. 14 oz low fat extra firm tofu 1.2 chives, thinly sliced 3 tablespoons soy sauce 2 cloves garlic (crushed with the back of a knife) 1 tsp sesame oil 1 inch fresh ginger, sliced salt to taste Pepper to taste 1 teaspoon fresh or dried lemon grass (optional) To prepare it. 1. In a 9 × 9 inch square baking dish, whisk all ingredients (except tofu). 2. Drain the tofu and slice in half lengthwise; dry with a paper towel. 3. Preheat a nonstick skillet over medium heat and spray with nonstick cooking spray. 4. Slide the tofu slices in the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes each, turning carefully with a large spatula. Brown, who very well for color and texture. 5. Slide the tofu slices in the marinade, turning with a spatula, at least once. 6. While the tofu is sitting in the marinade, cut each slab 3 times over and wide, with a sharp knife (so that you are 16 places per plate). Mix thoroughly. 7. Allow tofu to marinate 30 minutes. 8. Remove the ginger slices and garlic. Serve hot, at room temperature or chilled.
