Quick snacks for a vegetarian? Also, tips to stay vegetarian?
Hello, I have been vegetarian for a couple of months. I bought this huge book of recipes that almost covers my meals, but do not know what to do for snacks. I do not want to eat junk food. I am a very special dining and to feel you become ill from eating some fruits and vegetables for lunch, so any other suggestions? I am also in college and can not cook a lot to keep that in mind.
Also, a friend told me that people are often vegetarian weight gain in the first year, is this true? Any advice is appreciated! Thank you!
I've been a vegetarian for almost 6 years. Just remember that meat is such a small part of what there is, there is this whole other food that people do not try. I would'nt have discovered all different ethnic foods and vegetarian dishes, if there were'nt vegetarian. To make Quiche: buy a pie crust (organic hopefully:)). In a separate bowl, mix eggs about 3, did not start chopped spinach, and cheese of your choice; cheddar works well. Then put in oven for about 350 degrees until crust turns brown and the egg hardens. You can probably add a teaspoon of salt to the egg mixture to taste. For a snack: pita bread and hummus, granola bars, apples and peanut butter, PB & J sandwich, or yogurt and granola. Since in their university and, of course, I will not starve. Learn to Japanese-style stir fry. Boil the noodles or rice, throw in a pan with little oil (preferably olive oil), onions, peppers (red, green or yellow), minced garlic or puncture, powder, salt, pepper and sugar, and the main ingredient of soy sauce! I do it all the time when I'm hungry and it gets better and best. Tip: To save time over noodles. Boil the whole batch and store in refrigerator. It saves time having to boil when to eat. Some vegetarians weight if do not know what you're getting into and do not know how to cook. For complete only eat a bunch of garbage. That was my mistake. Fortunetely, did'nt I gain weight or become ill.
