What you want to know about veganism
If you are a vegan, people are different, it is likely that the same general questions. If you are not vegetarian, then is likely to have some basis for vegans questions about veganism. In this article, I will answer some basic questions that vegans often get asked.
What do you eat? Vegans are defined as not eating, not what they eat. Basically, vegans eat anything that contains no animal products. As vegetarians do not eat meat, but also not eat other animal products like milk and eggs. Some of the foods they eat are usually cereals, fruits nuts, fruits, vegetables, beans and other non-animal products. And we can make many dishes with recipes that use a host of foods as ingredients.
Why become a vegan? Obviously, every vegan has their own specific reasons for being vegan. However, the most common reasons include the environment, personal health and empathy with animals. Regarding the environment, the production of animal wastes resources such as land, energy and water, because the farmer has to feed the cattle feed that could have gone directly to humans. Many vegans also watch your diet healthy, ie, due to fewer cholesterol, fat, and germs in non-animal products. And, of course, many vegans feel bad about the killing and mistreatment of animals, so generally seen as an inherent quality livestock.
How do you get enough protein? Most natural foods have at least a little protein, including most vegetables and grains. However, some vegan foods have a protein content, particularly high, such as beans and nuts, which by extension include products based on nuts and peanut butter, soy milk, soy burgers, and so on.
Do eat plants that are alive? Vegans eat many things that are alive, just do not eat animals. The bodies are not animals are generally not considered sensitive. People can not empathize with the plants. Vegans can and empathize and sympathize with most animals.
Do not forget the non-vegetarian food, as meat, cheese or ice cream? In general, it is clear that they prefer not to eat animal products for lunch. You may miss a specific pleasure we receive from consumer animal products, but in general we believe that the consequences outweigh the benefits. In other words, you get more overall pleasure of not eating animal products we have to eat them – otherwise choose to eat.
