New Vegetarian Stomach upset?
I've noticed that my stomach is upset easily (I've been a vegetarian for a week now) and I feel swollen and gases? Do you know what could have caused this? Do not say you need to eat meat again or ignore any of that. I feel very strongly about not eating meat. I eat a balanced diet and taking vitamins … I do not know what is wrong? I always eat plenty of fruits and vegetables + fiber supplements, so do not think that is the fiber. Apart from that I feel great.
Try taking a supplement of acidophilus. Maybe you have taken antibiotics recently, or perhaps were low at first. The average human body is 2 to 4 pounds of these symbiotic creatures. Without them we could not digest food. Other suggestions I have include eating citrus after meals. In Italy, that things until they cry and then you get more fruit and surprisingly feel better. You might have diverticulitis. Acidophilus, fiber and juice aloe should be enough to cure most cases. Finally, you could take digestive enzymes, when needed. Try not to make too often or get used to them and will have a hard back. I like being with papaya and bromelain (pineapple source) around. Try to take them, especially when eat a big meal. Sometimes I have trouble with soy cheese (Get sodas and stuff). Beans, in general, can cause problems with gas. I notice if chew or crush time before I have less problems. That's probably more information than I wanted to know but we must go. Hope it helps.
