How long does it take for a healthy diet work?

In recent years I have had the typical SAD diet. Too much fried food, the excess sugar, much everything and all things wrong. I'm thinking about starting a vegetarian diet and adding more fruits and vegetables to my diet. I wonder how long it takes for a healthy diet to start work and help my body. I keep hearing about the health benefits of vegetarian diets – How long before benefits of working for me?

There is no magic pill or a program for weight loss, regardless of what others say about you.
