a vegan diet
How do you get the RDA of calcium in a vegan diet?

Ok, so recently vegetarian and vegan vegans just wandering how others get their RDA of calcium because it is in shortage? Apart from the dairy / fish etc. so I am conscious. Do people do manage to get enough of a diet vegetarian or using a supplement? Thanks in advance!

James, take a look at http://veganhealth.org/ which is a website with tips on Vegan Outreach specific nutrients of a registered dietitian vegan. There are plenty of calcium available for plant foods. The milk is not a human health food. Is made by a cow for their children as human mothers produce breast milk for their babies. So no one can argue that the milk of another species is a necessary nutrient for humans. Is very crazy when you think about it. Do not even need the milk of our mothers' breast after they are babies. Vitamin D is also very important in your body. Here an article from that website that talks about vitamin D and calcium. http://www.veganhealth.org/articles/bones foods like cabbage and broccoli are great sources of calcium. Some foods and beverages such as orange juice are fortified with calcium.
